    Annika Sorenstam made up five strokes on the leader Angela Stanford in the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Guadalajara, Mexico, shooting a five-under-par 67 to cut her deficit to one stroke entering the final round. Ochoa, the tournament host, celebrated her 27th birthday with her best round of the week, a 70 that left her eight strokes back.

  • Nirat Leads in Singapore
    Chapchai Nirat of Thailand shot a six-under 65 on Sunday in the completion of the third round of the Singapore Open to take a three-stroke lead. Lam Chih Bing, seeking to become the first Singaporean to win the $5 million tournament, was second. Phil Mickelson finished up his third round with a 66, putting him at six under.

  • Stanford Takes Lead
    Angela Stanford shot a six-under-par 66 in the second round of the Lorena Ochoa Invitational in Guadalajara, Mexico, and took a two-stroke lead over the L.P.G.A. Championship winner Yani Tseng. Stanford had a 10-under 134 total on the Guadalajara Country Club course. Tseng shot her second consecutive 68. Ochoa shot a 71; she is 10 strokes back.
