What do I have to do to play an uphill lie?
Although uphill lies are generally regarded as being easier to play than other uneven golf lies there is still a tendency to draw an uphill lie so it is necessar to aim a little to the right of the target.
Your shoulder will be lower than usual and your back foot will have more of your weight. With the ball in its normal postion or slightly forward more effort should be made striking through the ball as the tendency will be to rock backwards pulling the ball to the left.
As the ground is angled upward a less lofted club should be selected as the tendency will be for the ball to fly a shorter distance than with your usual club for that distance. |
