How to play golf shot with a downhill lie?
Like a shot with the ball below feet the downhill lie can be one of the more challenging golf shots. The ball trajectory is lower and the ball goes farther with the tendency to tail off to the right.
Depending on the steepness of the slope, select a more lofted club than normal since the ball will fly off a downhill lie with a lower trajectory moving the ball back in your stance to compensate.
As your left shoulder will be lower than normal and your weight more on your left foot, at address, swing along and down the slope face with an easier swing and less weight shift aligning yourself more to the left to allow for the tendency to fade the ball from a downhill lie.
